Lewisville, Flower Mound and Highland Village have a number of outdoor parks focused on a range of activities. Many local parks take advantage of the nearby natural amenities they have to offer.
LEWISVILLE
1. Central Park
The park was developed in 1986 as Lewisville’s Sesquicentennial Park, which celebrated 150 years of independence from the Republic of Texas. The park has pavilions available for rent.

2. East Hill Neighborhood Park
East Hill Neighborhood Park spans nearly 22 acres and is one of Lewisville’s largest neighborhood parks. Uncovered and covered picnic areas cannot be reserved and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

3. Lake Park
The park spans over 662 acres. Lake Park is operated by Lewisville on property leased from the US Army Corps of Engineers. It is divided into four main areas including the golf course, sports facilities, day use areas and a marina.

4. Lake Lewisville Environmental Learning Area
The LLELA offers a variety of outdoor nature programs that include bird watching, history, and hiking on 2,600 acres. The park is open for field trips and the general public daily with a fixed schedule of events and activities.
Cost: daily admission $5 (per vehicle), $20 (per van or bus with 10 to 25 passengers), $30 (per bus with more than 25 seats)

5. Railway fleet
The park, which opened in 2009, includes 16 sports fields, a dog park, a skate park, three lakes for irrigation and a 1.5-mile perimeter walking and jogging trail designed to connect to regional Trinity Trail. The original Katy Train Depot once stood 1 mile north of the park, and its rail line just west of the park now serves the Denton County Transportation Authority A-Train. The theme of the park embodies the deep tradition of local rail service.

6. Flower Mound Heritage Park
This Flower Mound Park features a wading pool, wildflower-themed playground, performance pavilion, disc golf course, nature gazebo, pond with walkway and waterfall, picnic tables and multi-use trails.

8. Post Oak Park

9. Spring Lake Park

10. Twin Coves Park and Campground
Twin Coves Park is located on 243 acres on the north shore of Grapevine Lake. Families can enjoy a variety of features including a playground, pavilions, grass volleyball court, horseshoe pits, nature trails, kayak rentals, boat launch water and an area overlooking the lake with a fire pit and seating.

HIGHLANDS VILLAGE
11. Copperas Branch Park
Copperas Branch Park is a regional park leased from the US Army Corps of Engineers and is located on the shore of Lake Lewisville. The park covers approximately 75 acres and is open year-round.

12. Pilot Knoll Park
Pilot Knoll Park is a park bordering Lake Lewisville in Highland Village. This park is 65 to 85 acres, depending on the water level. It is available for camping, hiking, riding and other outdoor activities. The park has a day use, overnight and primitive camping area.

13. Unity Park
Unity Park is Highland Village’s 38-acre community park. Unity Park contains five softball/baseball fields, four batting cages, four tennis courts, eight U5 soccer fields, hiking and biking trails, a small pond with a fishing pier, four practice soccer fields , a picnic pavilion, a Kid’s Kastle play structure and a dog park.
